The 5000 Job model of the Fronius MagicWave series is one of the many digitised TIG AC/DC power sources in their line and is commonly used for aluminium purposes. Weighing at approximately 58.2Kg, the 5000 Job power source possesses a tremendously robust design and a remarkable state-of-the-art operating system.

Features

  • Active Wave Technology – this feature was put in place to make the process of TIG AC welding a much quieter task in the workshop environment. A digital signal from within the power sources computes its waveform to permit the highest possible amount of arc stability with the lowest possible noise-emission levels in real time. Even when delivering mass power of 300A which is no match for MagicWave’s ActiveWave feature.
  • TAC – with the TAC application, one spot is all that’s needed when two weld pools are in motion. This feature was created to make the weld pools jump together in absolutely no time to generate a single weld pool. This function is also very beneficial for welding light-gauge sheets without the need for filler metal.
  • HF Ignition – this power source was designed to make the welding process a fundamentally easier task. This is proved evident with the HF Ignition tool, the most effortless and safest way to ignite the most dangerous of arcs.
  • Touchdown Ignition – like the above, the Touchdown Ignition was made to use in principally sensitive application areas. With this feature in play, any chance of electromagnetic interference will and can be avoided which can often occur during the processes like HF Ignition.
  • Automatic Cap-shaping – this purpose permits automatic cap-shaping when in the process of welding the likes of aluminium and other such materials, this is done to save significant amounts of time. The adjustment of sizes can also be set by the user.
