The REB ID tracking can be used to prepare thin-walled, large-scale pipes for welding, where precise pipe-end preparation and exact base width are required.
The module measures the pipe ID. The force of the spring on the inside diameter ensures that the roller "tracks" any irregularities of the pipe, producing a weld prep exactly by the ID, thus maintaining a perfect weld prep. All weld preparations such as V-, Y0, and U- preps can be realised with the ID tracking module.
