Plymovent WCS Welding Cable Sensor 7900010310
The WCS is an automatic start/stop device which automatically switches
the fan(s) of the connected welding fume extraction system on and off.
It consists of a metal clamp with a built-in sensor. The WCS is to be
connected to a control box. It can be used in stationary systems only.
The WCS can be used for all electric welding processes, including TIG
welding.
The WCS operates on the basis of a change in the magnetic field of the
mass cable of a welding machine. An indication led on top of the sensor
illuminates when the WCS detects a signal, which happens when welding
starts. In this case, the connected extraction fan switches on
automatically. When the welding stops, the fan automatically switches
off after a certain run-out period.
