Shield-Bright 316L X-tra is designed for welding of 316 type of materials and specifically for applications where the service environment can produce pitting corrosion in the flat and horizontal position. Commonly used in the pulp and paper industry. Weld beads are finely ripped and horizontal fillets have an essentially flat contour surface with equal leg length. Either pure CO2 or mixed gas (75% Argon/ 25% CO2) can be used.
