A copper-coated alloy steel rod containing 2.5% chromium, and 1.0% molybdenum. It is suitable for high-temperature and pressure applications on materials of similar composition. It is used in the chemical industry and in the ammonia synthesis process, for heat exchangers, boilers, piping and pressure vessels for temperature service up to about 600°c. It will also find applications in the petro-chemical industries, suitable for facing on casting and for casting repairs.
