    With Vision+ technology for a clear view of the work area, a comfortable narrow-shell design for confined spaces, and 3B-class respiratory protection when used with the RSA 230 air supply system, the Zeta W201 delivers premium protection without sacrificing visibility or comfort. Suitable for MIG, TIG, MMA, plasma cutting and grinding applications. This version includes a belt-mounted supplied-air regulator and does not include built-in LED work lights.

    Which helmet should I choose for welding and which for grinding?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

    A welding helmet has an auto-darkening filter for arc work. A grinding helmet has a clear visor and is built for impact from particles and sparks.

    If you do both, you can use a welding head for arc work and swap to a grinding head on the same blower, if the system allows. This is often easier than a single compromise helmet.

    Why are some helmets sold with different filter models, sizes and sensor numbers?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

    Larger filters give a bigger view, and more arc sensors reduce the risk that the filter fails to darken when the arc is hidden, for example in awkward positions. Advanced filters add features such as adjustable sensitivity and delay.

    If you weld out of position or at low current, look for a higher specification. For general work a simpler filter can be enough.

    How do I know the unit is giving enough air?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

    Most units have an indicator, an alarm or both to show low flow or a low battery. A flow test with the test device, or the method in the manual, should be done before each shift.

    If the flow is low, check for a clogged filter, kinked hose or a flat battery. Do not weld until the correct flow is restored.

    Can I use the system with a beard or glasses?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

    Facial hair under a seal can let contaminated air in, so tight-fitting masks need a clean-shaven face. A loose-fitting powered helmet or hood does not rely on a seal, so it can be used with facial hair, but check the maker's guidance for your own helmet.

    Spectacles often fit under the helmet, but check clearance and comfort. Make sure nothing blocks the airflow around the face or lets contaminated air reach the breathing zone.
